Kia Korea has unveiled the facelifted 2025 EV6 with cosmetic updates both inside out, along with a larger battery pack. It is offered with similar single and dual electric motor configurations, a larger battery pack and introduces a host of new features. You can expect the facelifted EV6 to make its way in India in early 2025, and here’s everything you need to know about it.
The most notable design update in the EV6 facelift comes at its fascia where angular LED DRLs and new LED headlights give it a sportier appearance. Changes up front extend to a revised grille that’s even sleeker than before and updated bumper which gives it a more aggressive look.
The updated EV6 maintains a similar silhouette, but now offers a variety of new alloy wheel designs, reaching up to 20 inches in size. At the rear, it retains the similar single LED bar tail-lamp design as the outgoing model but boasts a redesigned rear bumper that makes it look more rugged.
Inside, the facelifted EV6 features a familiar cabin layout with a curved panoramic display housing two 12.3-inch screens—one for the infotainment system and another for the digital driver’s display. The updated interior includes a new two-spoke steering wheel with revised controls. It features the dual-tone black and brown cabin theme giving it a premium feel and now incorporates a range of additional features, including a fingerprint sensor for starting the car.
Apart from a fingerprint sensor, the 2025 EV6 comes equipped with new features such as, augmented reality based navigation system, digital key that lets you unlock the car with your smartwatch and an updated 14-speaker Meridian sound system.
Features such as 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment, 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated and powered front row seats, dual zone automatic control, multiple drive modes and wireless phone charger are carried forward. On the safety front, the updated EV6 gets 10 airbags, with a bunch of ADAS features such as front/side/rear parking collision avoidance system, blind spot detection, adaptive cruise control, and lane keep assist.
Globally, Kia offers the facelifted EV6 with similar powertrain options, but comes with a larger 84 kWh battery pack. It is equipped with either a 229 PS/350 Nm single e-motor or a 325 PS/605 Nm dual e-motor setup. The single e-motor variant features a two-wheel rear drivetrain, while the dual e-motor variant comes with an all-wheel drivetrain. The 2WD long-range variant is capable of delivering a claimed range of 494 km. Despite the increased battery pack size, it can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes with a 350 kW DC fast charger.
We expect the launch of the facelifted Kia EV6 in India in early 2025, with an expected starting price of around Rs 63 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon its launch, it will renew its rivalry with the Volvo XC40 Recharge and the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
