Lectrix, the Haryana-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer (part of SAR Group, a multi-brand Indian conglomerate), has launched an all-new electric scooter series. Called the LXS G, the e-scooter is available in two variants: LXS G2.0 and LXS G3.0. It’s made in India and is designed for the Indian market, bearing a bunch of useful features, pretty decent hardware and output figures.
In terms of its design, the e-scooter adopts a sporty design language with a sharp apron and side panels. The seat, too, gets a sporty, contoured profile, accompanied by a split grab rail. Adding to the mix are the dual-tone colour schemes.
Both variants are powered by BLDC hub motors, the LXS G2.0 by a 1.8kW motor (peak) and the LXS G3.0 by a bigger 2.2kW (peak) unit, making 90Nm and 110Nm respectively. With these different outputs, the top speed varies as well. So the G2.0 variant reaches a top speed of 55kmph while the 3.0 variant can achieve 60kmph.
Another important aspect is the inclusion of a lithium-ion battery pack. The LXS G2.0 gets a 2.3kWh battery pack and offers a claimed IDC (Indian Driving Conditions) range of 80km. On the other hand, the LXS G3.0 gets a bigger 3kWh battery pack and claims 105km IDC range.
When it comes to features, the LXS G e-scooter flaunts a bunch of fancy equipment including two ride modes, a 5-inch monochrome console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and SMS alerts. For added convenience and safety, the e-scooter also gets keyless ignition, auto indicators, ride statistics, geofencing, anti-theft alerts, vehicle diagnostics and speed lock via the app. The company claims there are as many as 93 features, possibly making these some of the most feature-loaded e-scooters in the country today!
The LXS G2.0 is priced at Rs 97,999,(ex-showroom) whereas the prices for the LXS G3.0 will be revealed soon. In this segment, these e-scooters will go up against the likes of Hero Electric Optima, Okinawa PraisePro and Bajaj Chetak.
