Mahindra XUV 3XO EV was spotted testing.
It reveals details like dual-tone alloys, copper-coloured inserts and badging as well as connected LED tail lights.
Cabin layout is similar to the current Mahindra XUV 3XO, albeit with copper-coloured inserts.
Expected to get features such as a panoramic sunroof, twin 10.25-inch screens and 7-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.
Likely to have similar specifications as the Mahindra XUV400.
Launch expected to happen in the coming months.
It looks like the Mahindra XUV 3XO is all set to get a pure electric version in the coming months. Ahead of its official debut, several spy images of a test unit have surfaced online, captured during testing in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu. Let’s take a closer look at the details from these images to uncover what the electric version has to offer.
The upcoming Mahindra XUV3XO features subtle design changes compared to its ICE counterpart, as per the images. The front fascia, considering that it is under wraps, is likely to get a different design than the standard XUV 3XO to set it apart. One can expect a closed-off grille and tweaks made to the lighting elements.
The charging port is positioned on the front passenger-side fender and the overall silhouette is a lot similar to the ICE-powered XUV 3XO. The roof of the electric version is also finished in copper. At the rear, it has L-shaped connected LED tail lights. If you look closely, the badging of the XUV 3XO and AX7 L badge is finished in copper colour, a trait found in Mahindra EVs.
Sneak peek to the inside, we can see the cabin is done in a dual-tone black and beige theme, which is similar to the standard car. However, if you look closely, you can see the gear lever surround is finished in copper.
Besides a visible 3-spoke steering wheel and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV is also expected to get all the features from the ICE model such as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, wireless mobile charger and dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents. For safety, it should be equipped with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control and a 360-degree camera.
The Mahindra XUV400 is currently offered with a 34.5 kWh and 39.5 kWh battery pack, both paired with a 150 PS e-motor. It has a claimed range of up to 456 km. The upcoming Mahindra XUV 3XO is expected to have similar specifications if not identical.
One can expect the Mahindra XUV 3XO to be priced from around Rs 13 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon its launch, it will lock horns with the likes of the Tata Nexon EV and MG Windsor EV.
