Each year, students from the Skoda Academy put in a mega shift to build a one-off creation based on the Czech carmaker’s portfolio. This year, we even saw the carmaker’s India wing build a one-off Rapid cabriolet. And on a global scale, this year the academy’s students brought up this one-off Enyaq iV concept called the Roadiaq.
The Skoda Roadiaq is, as Skoda says, an office for the road. A clear design change is the redesigned roof to scoop out more headroom. Then there are the wheels which have been upgraded to 21-inch units while the tailgate has been modified to accommodate a tent (more on that later). Another major visual change is the new white/green paint scheme, which screams serious ultra luxury car vibes.Step inside the Roadiaq and you’ll find that the cabin has been modified extensively. Let’s start with the simpler bit first: the front cabin and dashboard. First of all, the green and white theme from the outside has been carried forward on the inside as well. And there’s a small stand to mount your tablet so you can use it for video conferences or to call your loved ones.

The highlight, though, is behind the front seats. Gone are the rear seats and the entire place has been modified into a mini work mobile. The bench behind can be used either to sit or convert into a bed into a couple of steps. And then there are multiple shelves across the cabin to store your files and other knick-knacks.
There’s also a 27-inch monitor with a docking station to connect your computer. And it’s further backed up by a camera and wireless keyboard and mouse. The rear windows have been blacked out so you have additional privacy. And as for the internet, you have an inbuilt permanent connection.
Until now, we have been talking about the office amenities the Roadiaq offers. But the Skoda Academy students say that this concept is built to take your office anywhere and then camp there for the night. On that front, the tailgate also acts as a stand for mounting your tent. And it also gets plenty of amenities such as a wireless speaker, solar-powered shower, an espresso machine, kitchen appliances, tables and chairs.
And to ensure you have the muscle to get to your favourite location for camping, this concept is built off a dual-motor model with all-wheel-drive. Other sustainable bits you need to know about the Roadiaq is the fact that the interior is built completely out of 100 percent recycled materials, making it all the more greener.

Closer to home, Skoda India is contemplating bringing the Enyaq iV, as a fully imported model, sometime in 2024. It will lock horns with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.
