MG Motor India has showcased the Cyberster two-door convertible all electric sports car at Auto Expo 2025. Until now, the brand’s electric lineup in India was led by the tiny Comet EV and other models such as the ZS EV and Windsor EV. However, MG has now shifted into high gear with this performance-oriented machine. It will be on sale exclusively at MG Select showrooms, meant for their premium cars only.
With a single battery pack and dual motors, the Cyberster delivers supercar-level performance on the road. So, before diving into its design and features, let’s kick things off with its specifications first:
The MG Cyberster EV is equipped with a single 77 kWh battery pack that powers dual electric motors, delivering an impressive 510 PS and 725 Nm of torque to all four wheels. It has a WLTP-claimed range of 443 km. The sportscar features a 50:50 front-to-rear weight distribution, ensuring an optimal balance of ride and handling. Its chassis has been meticulously tuned by Marco Fainello, a former Formula 1 engineer, to deliver exceptional performance. The Cyberster accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds.
The MG Cyberster gets a stylish exterior design that blends modern design with iconic cues from MG’s heritage. At the front, it features sleek LED projector headlights with LED DRLs, complemented by a chrome MG logo. The sporty bumper houses a black lower grille and functional air vents.
The profile showcases scissor doors on both sides alongside 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, enhancing its sporty stance. The black ORVMs come equipped with integrated turn indicators.
At the rear, the Cyberster looks aggressive and futuristic with arrow-shaped LED tail lights and a distinctive inverted U-shaped light bar. With its low-slung stance, bold design language, and unique rear styling, the Cyberster is unmistakably a modern sports car, seamlessly merging both aesthetics and performance.
The MG Cyberster’s interior also looks futuristic and tech-loaded, featuring a triple-screen dashboard. This setup includes two screens for the driver’s display and a 7-inch touchscreen in the center. There’s also an additional fourth screen for climate controls positioned on the section connecting the dashboard to the center console.
Inside, the cabin gets sporty seats and a flat-bottom, multi-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls for audio and the driver’s displays, along with a round dial for launch control. You also get paddle shifters to adjust the regeneration modes easily.
While it does not have a direct competitor in India as of now, it can be considered as an all-electric alternative to the BMW Z4.
