The Kia EV6 features the “Opposites United” design philosophy. It’s long and squat, with a low drag coefficient of 0.28. Other features include adaptive LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, flush door handles and slim taillights with jewel-like LED elements. Five colour choices are on offer – Moonscape, Runway Red, Snow White Pearl, Yacht Blue and Aurora Black Pearl.
Inside, the EV6 has standard dual 12.3-inch displays for the driver’s instrumentation and infotainment, paired with a 14-speaker Meridian sound system in the top-spec AWD variant. You also get powered and ventilated front seats, wireless phone charger and a panoramic sunroof. The pricier EV6 AWD adds an augmented reality head-up display and powered tailgate to the long features list. Both variants are capable of powering other devices and charging other EVs using the V2L (vehicle-to-load) technology.

The EV6 is loaded to the gills with safety features – eight airbags (including a pair of front centre airbags), a 360-degree camera and forward collision avoidance. Driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, driver attention warning and blind spot monitoring.
With charging speeds as high as 350kW, the Kia EV6 is one of the quickest-charging EVs in India. It takes as little as 18 minutes to charge from 10 to 80 percent at its peak speed, and around 1 hour and 13 minutes to juice up using a 50kW charger.

The Kia EV6 is coming to India via the CBU route, and only 100 vehicles were initially allocated for this year. But the carmaker has already received 355 bookings for the EV6, and is looking to bring in more units to meet the demand. First deliveries will be AWD models, set to begin reaching early bird buyers from September onwards, and the more affordable RWD models from December.
