We have spotted the Skoda Enyaq electric SUV on our roads a few times, and now the Czech carmaker has officially showcased it at the Bharat Mobility Expo. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 rival is expected to launch in India as a completely built-up unit (CBU), and here are all the details you need to know about it.
The Enyaq iV features an illuminated Skoda butterfly grille, creating a delightful ambience in low-light conditions. It is an electric crossover with a sloping roofline, riding on aero-tuned, 21-inch, five-spoke alloy wheels designed for its all-electric nature. At the rear, it boasts sleek LED taillights that complement the sporty nature of the Enyaq iV.
We were unable to have a close look at the Enyaq's interior at the expo, but it boasts a minimalist cabin with a floating infotainment system as seen in the global-spec model. The interior is finished in a dual-tone theme across different variants with an all-black dashboard with the large touchscreen display on top. Overall, the cabin showcases a premium appearance, featuring a three-spoke steering wheel and leather upholstery.

The Skoda Enyaq iV is a premium offering, on par with if not better equipped than the latest Skoda Kodiaq. Globally, the electric SUV comes equipped with a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay, a digital driver’s display, ambient lighting, multi-zone climate control system, 12V power socket, powered and heated front seats, and wireless phone charging.
Safety features include, up to nine airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, and it comes equipped with ADAS with features such as blind spot detection and lane keep assist.
The model showcased at the expo is the ‘85’ variant, equipped with the larger 82 kWh battery pack option that is coupled with a single electric motor that generates 285 PS and 545 Nm. It drives the rear wheels only and boasts a WLTP-claimed range of 560 km. Globally, it is also available with dual-motor all-wheel-drive variants where the WLTP-claimed range drops to 528 km. There is also a more powerful ‘RS’ variant, producing 340 PS, details of which you can find here.
We expect Skoda to launch the Enyaq iV in India by September 2024. It's likely to be a fully imported model, which will rival the likes of the Kia EV6, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
