The Vision 7S’s design language is a shift from other Skoda models.
The all-electric SUV features a practical 2+2+3 seating layout.
The second row also features a child seat in the central position.
It will be the first model from Skoda to use a vertically mounted touchscreen unit.
A couple of months ago, Skoda got our attention by teasing the seating layout of its upcoming EV concept, the Vision 7S. The well thought out 2+2+3 seating setup with a child seat in the centre position of the middle row was a standout feature from the teased sketches. Not too long ago and as expected, Skoda released another sketch which showcased the interior design of the upcoming all-electric SUV. Well, Skoda is back again, and with a couple of days to go until the concept officially debuts, the brand has now teased design sketches of the SUV, giving us an idea of what to expect.
It is evident from the sketches that the Vision 7S looks towering with a striking presence, accentuated by the massive wheels in the sketch. T-shaped headlights and a flat grille design dominate the front-end styling while the rear looks nothing like any of the Skodas on sale today. As a matter of fact, the rear end design, specifically the taillights, remind us of the 2022 Range Rover. Overall, the design language feels like a shift from the current Skoda models. The concept will carry forward all of what we see here but it remains to be seen which design elements finally feature in the production-spec SUV.
Coming to the interior sketch that was released a couple of days ago, it is evident that Skoda has jumped on the bandwagon and incorporated a vertically oriented touchscreen unit for the first time. Similarly, we can also see a rectangular-shaped steering wheel along with a fully digital cluster. The sketches also reveal three haptic rotary knobs for the aircon controls, which is a nice addition. Apart from this, we also know the cabin is practical and features two adjustable seating modes. The ‘driving’ option is our conventional seating option while the ‘relaxed’ seating option pushes the first and second row further backwards to open up more space.
