Tata’s newest and smallest EV, the Tiago EV, is now available for test drives. Bookings for the electric hatchback kicked off in October and has crossed the 20,000 mark, while deliveries for it are expected to begin by the end of this month.

The Tiago EV is offered in four broad trim options: XE, XT, XZ+, and XZ+ Tech Lux; the prices for which range between Rs 8.49 lakh and Rs 11.79 lakh (introductory ex-showroom). Now, it can be had with two battery options: 19kWh and 24kWh, but that depends on the variant chosen, the deets of which have been spilled in our detailed gallery article. The latter offers the hatchback a claimed range of 315km.

Currently, the Tiago EV enjoys an unrivaled space with no immediate competition. But this will soon be changed with the upcoming launches of the Citroen eC3 and the Tata Punch EV, which will be a rugged alternative to Tata’s electric hatchback. Until then, it is a smaller substitute to its cousin, the Tigor EV.
