Tesla is rolling out its year-end, ‘Holiday Season’ update for its cars. One of the highlights of this update is the addition of Steam to the Model S and Model X electric vehicles (EVs). Other than that, the update also includes handy safety features and a new way to show off your Tesla.
More games for Tesla cars
The gaming service Steam will bring a wide array of games to the Model S and X which can be accessed through the cars’ infotainment systems. The Model S and X touchscreens allow users to play with controllers and even a keyboard and mouse.
Other new functionalities
Apple Music is another addition to the cars’ infotainment app suite. One interesting feature is ‘Light Show’ which allows multiple Tesla cars to play a coordinated headlight show.
Tesla owners will now be able to keep an eye on their dog in the car using the smartphone app. The ‘Dog Mode’ also displays a friendly message for concerned passers-by that the AC is on and the dog is comfortable while waiting for its owner.
