It took Tesla four years to finally make the Cybertruck production-ready, but they have finally done it. Somewhere between production delays and digging their own grave with the Cybertruck (Elon’s words, not ours), Tesla stuck to the task at hand and finally delivered the first 10 units of the Cybertruck to customers in Texas. We also finally have the specs for the futuristic electric pickup and they are a bit bonkers, to say the least.
We are all aware of the design. Different shapes and sizes of metal sheets come together to birth a sharp, edgy, cybertron-belonging Cybertruck. It looks really sharp head-on, nothing like anything else from the profile, and rather clean and upright from the rear. Pretty unique.
And unique it is from the inside as well. It follows the typical Tesla styling, with a minimalistic cabin, and dual-tone shades. A truly massive 18.5-inch screen dominates proceedings, complemented by a smaller 9.4-inch unit for the rear occupants.

Creature comfort is also well thought out, with multiple fast charging options, a 15-speaker sound system with 2 subwoofers, vehicle to load (V2L) tech, an all-glass sunroof (extension of a panoramic sunroof) and a hospital-grade air filter.
There are technically three powertrains available, which can be had in two drive configurations: rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive. The former gets an approximate range of 402 km and will be available in 2025. So let’s talk about the all-wheel-drive powertrains.

Dual-motor all-wheel-drive: This spec Cybertruck gets dual electric motors which have enough grunt for a top speed of 180 kmph. This setup has a claimed range of more than 547 km and has a towing capacity just short of 5000 kg. It can do 0-96 kmph in just 4.1 seconds.
Cyberbeast: The specs of this powertrain live up to its name. With 0-96 kmph popping up in just 2.6 seconds, this is the quickest of all the Cybertruck powertrains, thanks to a three electric motor setup. Claimed range stands at 515 km, while the towing capacity is the same at 4989 kg.
Of course, these powertrains are compatible with Tesla superchargers with a maximum charging capacity of 250 kW. Tesla claims the Cybertruck can regain 219 km and 206 km (Cyberbeast) of range within 15 minutes of charging.
Fun fact: The Cybertruck can beat a Porsche 911 in a drag race – while towing a 911 on a trailer behind it!
Interestingly, Tesla’s website also mentioned some crazy range figures under a ‘range extender’ section, which ups the range figures to more than 756 km and 708 km. This is an optional pack that takes up some additional space within the 4x6-foot truck bed. With a bulletproof (9 mm and 0.45-caliber bullets) exterior, usable range, appreciable performance, future-proof looks, and a wide breadth of ability, the Cybertruck is a novel take on pickup trucks – one that might just redefine things to come from the segment.

Prices in the US start at around $79,990 (about Rs 66.66 lakh after conversion) for the dual motor variant and $99,990 (about Rs 83.33 lakh after conversion) for the Cyberbeast trim.
