These bikes are available only in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai for now

Deliveries of the Tork Kratos-R electric bike have finally commenced as 20 e-bikes were handed over to customers at the company’s headquarters in Pune. Tork Motors had launched the Kratos and Kratos-R motorcycles in January this year, and deliveries were slated to commence from April 4 onwards. However, both established and new automotive manufacturers are facing the wrath of the long-ongoing supply chain issues, and this could be the reason for the delayed deliveries.

Tork Motors has started delivering the Kratos in phased manner, as the bike is currently launched only in cities like Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Bengauluru and Chennai in the first phase. In its second phase, the company plans on expanding to 100 cities. Tork plans to have dealerships in six cities and will eventually move to a franchise-based model.

Both variants of the Kratos feature Tork’s in-house axial flux motor, which is claimed to have 96 percent efficiency. This motor produces 7.5kW of peak power and 28Nm on the standard variant, while the ‘R’ variant’s motor pushes out 9kW of peak power and 38Nm. These motors are paired to a 4kWh lithium-ion battery pack with a claimed real-world range of 120km in Eco mode. The claimed charging time for both the models is 4 to 5 hours.

The ‘R’ has a top speed of 105kmph (5kmph more than the standard) and can sprint from 0-40kmph in 3.5 seconds (0.5 seconds faster than the standard). Here are five things you need to know about the Tork Kratos.

The Kratos gets an exhaustive list of features, like multiple riding modes, including a reverse assist, regenerative braking, USB charging, storage box and digital instrument console with connectivity features. To top that off, Tork has also built a mobile application that offers a plethora of features which include ride analytics, charging info, navigation and a ‘T Net’ charging station locator.

The Kratos is priced at Rs 1,32,499 for the standard variant and Rs 1,47,499 (both ex-showroom Pune) for the ‘R’ variants including Rs 60,000 FAME-II subsidy. These prices are excluding the state-wise subsidies. This makes the Kratos R Rs 14,000 more expensive than the Revolt RV400, and Rs 22,500 more expensive than the Oben Rorr.
