This Electric Scooter From UK Has What It Takes To Silence The Ather 450X

Silence UK, a division of the Barcelona-based EV maker, has launched the S01 Plus electric scooter. This limited edition e-scooter is based on the S01 and comes heavily loaded with features and equipment. And with a price tag of GBP 6795 (Rs 6.5 lakh), it isn’t light on the pockets either.

The S01 Plus is the top-of-the-line variant of Silence’s e-scooter. It gets the option of a 5.6kW and 7.5kW motors. While the brand has not revealed the performance numbers, the S01 Plus is acclaimed to be equivalent to a 125cc scooter. This e-scooter gets a removable 5.6kWh lithium-ion battery that has a charging time of 6-8 hours and a range of 136km ( ideal conditions range).

Silence UK has upgraded the feature list of the S01 Plus too. It now gets a ‘Sport’ mode and a ‘Push to Pass’ mode that gives it speed boost for swift overtakes. Of course, features like app connectivity, reverse mode and regeneration are standard too.

Interestingly, the company decided to upgrade the hardware of its e-scooter too. The S01 Plus sports a preload adjustable telescopic fork and an offset monoshock with preload and compression. Braking duties have been entrusted to petal discs at both ends with the safety net of a combined braking system.

While the S01 Plus is certainly not headed to our shores, India’s Ather Energy is working on an upgraded version of the 450X and 450 Plus.
