Vietnamese automaker VinFast has confirmed that it will be showcasing the VF7 – an electric SUV, at the forthcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The brand had shown interest in entering the Indian market in October 2023 and later it announced its entry to the market. Above all, it has already commenced building an electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu.

VinFast VF7: Overview

The VF7 measures 4,545 mm with a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. This means the SUV is a tad smaller than some midsize SUVs, such as the Tata Harrier but it is bigger than the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

Powering the VF7 is a 75.3 kWh battery pack delivering a range of up to 450 km or up to 431, as per WLTP, depending on the drivetrain. Internationally, the electric SUV comes in two drivetrain options: a single-motor setup produces 204 PS and 310 Nm, while the dual-motor setup generates 354 PS and 500 Nm. The power output figures of the VF7 match that of the new Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e and the electric crossover from a higher segment, the Hyundai Ioniq 5.

VinFast VF7: Features

The VF7 boasts a range of features, such as a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a heads-up display, a panoramic sunroof, and connected car tech. On the other hand, the safety features include up to 8 airbags, an electronic stability programme (ESP), a 360-degree camera, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
