Audi India is gearing up for the launch of the Q8 e-tron on our shores. It’s nothing but the facelifted e-tron with the Q8 prefix slapped on to its name. As with any midlife facelift, Audi has given it a design refresh that gives it a breath of fresh air. But one of the coolest bits we love about the Q8 e-tron ought to be its headlamps.
Audi is known to take the game ahead with lighting technology and it’s no different with the Q8 e-tron. The electric SUV boasts LED Matrix headlamps and they project really cool graphics on the wall while starting up the car. And nope, we aren’t done yet. There are multiple options you can choose from which change the projection based on your liking.
Watch our editor, Ameya Dandekar, have fun with these lighting graphics in this reel below:
Clearly, it’s the small attention to detail that makes owning the Audi Q8 e-tron all the more special.
The Audi Q8 e-tron will come in two body styles: SUV and Sportback (SUV-coupe). It gets a minor design refresh on the outside, while the minimalistically laid out interior is similar to the outgoing car. Apart from that, the e-tron also has a larger battery pack that helps it to go that extra distance. You can find more details about the Q8 e-tron in our unveiling story.
The Q8 e-tron will command a premium over the outgoing model that was priced from Rs 1.02 crore (ex-showroom). In India, it will renew its rivalry with the Mercedes-Benz EQC and BMW iX.
