Audi India has opened pre-launch reservations of its upcoming offering, the Q8 e-tron. Interested customers can either reserve the SUV online or through their closest Audi dealership for a token amount of Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to be available in two body styles: SUV and Sportback (SUV-coupe).

The Q8 e-tron is nothing but the facelifted e-tron with a new name. It gets a brand new grille design with a DRL strip connecting both the headlights. The Q8 e-tron will also debut Audi’s sleeker new two-dimensional logo on our shores. Apart from that, it gets new alloys and tweaked bumper designs at either end.

The dashboard design is more or less the same as the outgoing model, which isn’t a bad thing. You get not one or two, but three screens comprising the digital driver’s display, touchscreen infotainment system, and climate control. They do look modern for sure, but you’ll need a bit of getting used to while using them on the move.

We suspect the Audi Q8 e-tron to command a premium over the outgoing model that was priced from Rs 1.02 crore (ex-showroom). It will continue to rival the BMW iX on our shores.
