Tata Motors recently updated the Tiago EV with a range of subtle updates inside and out, fresh colours, and major feature additions in line with the newer electric vehicles in its lineup. These changes are a part of the model year update and it has not received a facelift or generational update. As a result, the powertrain has been carried over from the old model. What is exactly new on the electric hatchback as against the model it replaces? Let us find out.
The overall design of the Tiago EV remains largely unchanged and so do the dimensions, wheelbase, and boot space. For example, it measures 3,769 mm in length, 1,677 mm in width, and 1,536 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,400 mm. The boot space stands at 240 litres.
Coming to the exterior changes, the 2025 Tiago EV gets new LED headlights and a grille redesign for the front bumper. Plus, the ‘EV’ badge on the close-off grille in the previous model is now on either side of the front doors. The styling of the front end has been carried over otherwise.
While the side profile layout of the both old and new Tiago EV models is identical, the refreshed hatchback gets a shark fin with GPS and newly designed 14-inch wheel covers. At the back, the 2025 Tiago EV remains the same as its predecessor.
Above all, there are fresh paint options available with the 2025 Tiago EV. It now features new Chill Lime, Arizona Blue, and Supernova Copper shades, while Pristine White, Daytona Grey, and Teal Blue are carried over from the old Tiago EV.
The major difference between the updated and previous Tiago lies in its interior. Although Tata has kept the overall styling the same as the old model, it now comes with a mild revamp replacing the outdated setup.
First up, there is a new two-spoke, leather-wrapped steering wheel already seen on the Nexon, Nexon EV, Curvv, Curvy EV, Harrier, and Safari. Additionally, the 2025 Tiago EV features a new digital instrument cluster, and a larger touchscreen infotainment system similar to the Punch EV and Nexon. This unit sits above the redesigned air-con vents in the centre portion of the dashboard. Apart from that, the cabin maintains its dual-tone colour theme and features but the seat covers now get a new colour.
The 2025 Tiago EV gets a range of new features compared to the old Tiago EV. To begin with, there are new LED headlights, a new 10.25-inch information system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a new fully digital instrument cluster, and a 45W USB-C charging port. Other features remain unchanged, such as automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, cooled glovebox, multiple regen mode, powered tailgate opening, connected car tech with smartwatch connectivity, automatic climate control, and cruise control.
In terms of safety equipment, the updated electric hatchback gets a new HD rearview camera with parking sensors, hill hold control, and an electronic stability programme (ESP). However, Tata has not given it six airbags, and it still does away with dual front airbags.

What also remains unchanged is the powertrain of the 2025 Tiago EV. However, it now offers a marginally longer range than the previous model. The claimed real-world driving range, as stated by the brand, stands at 168 km with the standard battery pack and 205 km with the larger battery pack.
Currently, the 2025 Tiago EV is now priced between Rs 8 lakh and 11.14 lakh (ex-showroom) and continues to rival the MG Comet EV and Citroen eC3.
Although the updates to the Tiago EV are not significant, especially in terms of design and interior, the model year update, on paper, makes it appealing. It also gets a little more range, which is not a deal-breaker.
