Honda recently launched the Activa 6G Premium Edition, which gets a few changes to position it as the top-of-the-line variant. Wondering what’s different on the Premium Edition when compared to the Standard one? Here are all the deets.
While the overall aesthetic of the Activa 6G Premium Edition remains the same as the two variants, it does get three new colour schemes - Matte Sangria Red Metallic, Matte Marsal Green Metallic and Pearl Siren Blue. Just like the DLX variant, this edition too comes equipped with a LED headlight.
The Standard, on the other hand, is available in six colours - Black, Pearl Precious
White, Decent Blue, Matte Magnificent Copper Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic and Rebel Red Metallic. The base variant misses out on the LED headlight, as it gets a halogen headlamp.
The Premium Edition also sports golden-coloured wheels and a gold-finished accent on the fascia. Even the Activa logo on the side bodywork is gold, with the word ‘Premium’ printed under it. Furthermore, the inner panels are finished in a dark brown shade, accentuating the paint options it comes with.
Honda has priced the Activa 6G Premium Edition at Rs 75,400, ex-showroom Delhi. This puts it at a premium of Rs 3,000 over the Standard version, which is priced at Rs 72,400, ex-showroom Delhi.
The week-long teasers by Honda did make us hopeful about the Activa finally getting crucial updates in the form of alloy wheels, digital display and a front disc brake. However, the Premium Edition still does not pack enough substance to position it as a better rival to the TVS Jupiter, which does come with the aforementioned hardware.
