10 Features Upcoming Tata Curvv Will Get Over Over The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara

Tata Motors’ next big upcoming launch is the Curvv, which will go on sale as an EV first on August 7. The Indian carmaker has given out details of its exterior design, while a teaser has revealed few interior details. Our dealer sources have shared information about the upcoming Tata Curvv and the features it will offer over rival SUVs. In this story, we are going to cover the top 10 features that the Curvv will get over the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, which is one of the top-selling SUVs in the segment. Let’s take a look at what these features are:

Level-2 ADAS Features

The Tata Curvv will be equipped with level-2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The kit will include features like lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. The Grand Vitara on the other hand, does not get any driver aids.

A Larger Infotainment System 

A larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system will be offered with the Tata Curvv, compared to the Grand Vitara’s smaller 9-inch unit. However, both systems pack similar features such as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and connected car tech features. 

A Larger Digital Driver’s Display 

The Grand Vitara comes with a 7-inch digital display for the driver, while the Curvv will be getting a larger 10.25-inch display. The Curvv also gives access to the navigation within the driver’s display itself while using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, which helps the driver to keep his or her focus on the road and not have dependency on the infotainment system. In the Grand Vitara you will have to rely on the centre screen for directions and necessary information. 

Better Sound System

The Curvv will be equipped with a 9 JBL sound system, which will come with a subwoofer as well. And going by Tata’s track record, this system will definitely impress audiophiles. The audio system on the Grand Vitara consists of 6 speakers, including 4 main speakers and 2 tweeters. 

Electronic Parking Brake With Auto Hold Function

The Curvv will get an Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold function as one of the extra features over the Grand Vitara, which gets the conventional manual handbrake. The auto hold function comes in handy, especially when driving in stop and go traffic conditions, where you don’t have to keep your foot on the brake pedal.

Powered Driver Seat

A feature offered on many premium cars is the powered driver seat. The Curvv will be getting this feature and it will be a 6-way adjustable powered driver seat. If you are in the driver’s seat of the Grand Vitara, you will have to manually adjust it to find your perfect driving position.

Powered Tailgate With Gesture Control

The Tata Curvv will be equipped with a powered tailgate which also gets gesture control for added convenience. Useful when you approach the car with a handful of luggage. This feature is not available on the Grand Vitara. 

Cooled Glovebox 

The Tata Curvv gets a cooled glovebox, which ensures that your beverages or snacks remain cool, especially during longer journeys. The Grand Vitara misses out on a cooled glovebox, but gets illumination. The cooled glovebox 

Fog Lamps With Cornering Function

As seen in images, the Curvv gets fog lamps that come with a cornering function. This feature is especially helpful when you’re driving on a twisty road with no illumination. The Grand Vitara does not get either fog lamps or cornering lamps functionality. 

Headlamps And Tail Lamps With Welcome And Goodbye Function

A feature that is more of a feel-good addition, rather than a convenience feature. The Curvv’s LED DRLs And connected tail lamps will get a welcome and goodbye function. This feature is not available on the Grand Vitara.
