Hero has teased the Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition on social media, hinting at an imminent launch. While the teaser doesn’t give away much, the bike was recently spotted in the flesh at a dealer meet.
For the Stealth Edition, the Xtreme 160R will come wrapped in a matte black livery, which will add to its streetfighter appeal. Along with the livery, the bike will get red pinstripes on the alloys and ‘Stealth Edition’ badging on the tank extensions.
We’re curious to see whether Hero will try to match TVS by introducing connectivity features with this special edition. We think it’s quite possible, considering even Hero’s commuter bike, the Glamour 125, gets it now.

The Stealth Edition might not get any mechanical tweaks. We reckon it will continue to be powered by a 163cc single-cylinder engine, putting out 15PS and 14Nm.
Owing to the changes, the Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition is expected to carry a premium of around Rs 2,000 over the standard colours. For reference, the prices of the Xtreme start from Rs 1.11 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
In the market, the Xtreme 160R goes against the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the Bajaj Pulsar NS160.
