After updating its baby 250cc cruiser, Honda has now unveiled the 2021 Rebel 500 and Rebel 1100 at the 2021 EICMA. The bikes will be sold in Europe for now, followed by the US and Asian markets.
Since both bikes are already Euro 5-compliant, they have remained mechanically unchanged for 2021. The Rebel 500 carries forward its 471cc parallel-twin engine putting out 46.2PS and 43.3Nm, while the flagship Rebel 1100 gets the Africa Twin-borrowed 1100cc engine belting out 87PS and 98Nm.
So what do you get? Well, new shades.
The Rebel 500 is now offered in a Pearl Organic Green, lending it a brawny military-like personality. That said, it retains its three other colours: Axis Grey Metallic, Jeans Blue Metallic, and Graphite Black.
The Rebel 1100 is now available in a gleaming Pearl Stallion Brown. This new shade seems distinct, making the cruiser look like a custom build.
Features on both bikes comprise single disc brakes at both ends, full-LED lighting, and a circular LCD instrument cluster. In addition, the Rebel 1100 gets four riding modes, traction control, wheelie control, and a USB type-C port.
In Europe, the 2021 Rebel 500 and Rebel 1100 retail for Rs 4.90 lakh and Rs 7.62 lakh (without duties), respectively. The former is expected to make its India debut soon, probably by the end of this year or early next year.
