A new Bajaj Pulsar bike has been spied testing on Indian roads. Contrary to reports online, we believe that the bike is the upcoming 2022 Bajaj Pulsar N150. The reason being that the test mule features ABS rings at both ends suggesting the presence of ABS on the bike, which is quite unlikely to feature on a 125cc motorcycle.
The most important revelation that comes from the latest spy shots about the Pulsar N150 is that the bike will be available in two variants: One featuring discs (with single-channel ABS) at both ends that was spotted earlier, and the newly spied base variant that features a drum at the rear.
Despite the heavy camouflage on the test mule, it is evident that the bike is based on the same platform as the new gen of Pulsars, the N250 and N160. However, it is likely to retain some design elements of the original Pulsar 150. That said, the fuel extensions and the projector LED headlight are similar to the quarter-litre bike. Even the butterfly-shaped LED taillight is the same design as the Pulsar N250 and N160.
Powering the 2022 Pulsar N150 will most likely be a Pulsar 250-derived single-cylinder engine. That said, in terms of output figures, we don’t expect significant changes as opposed to the current Pulsar 150 that produces 14PS and 13.25Nm.
For information regarding features and more on the upcoming Pulsar N150, you can head here to our detailed analysis of the bike.
The 2022 Bajaj Pulsar N150 is likely to launch in September 2022 with an expected price tag of Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Once launched it will go up against the likes of Yamaha FZ-Fi Version 3.0, Honda Unicorn and the TVS Apache RTR 160.
