Honda has launched the updated 2023 CB200X at Rs 1,46,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes the ADV just Rs 2,499 dearer than when it was first launched a couple of years ago.
The changes in the updated bike include the same 184.40cc, single-cylinder, engine producing 17.26PS and 15.9Nm now being BS6.2 and OBD-2 compliant. Also, it now gets an assist and slipper clutch. These are the same changes the 2023 Hornet 2.0 received, the bike upon which the CB200X is based.
The rest of the bike has remained unchanged, meaning it comes with a 5-speed gearbox, a USD fork and a monoshock setup and dual petal disc brakes (276mm front and 220mm rear) with single-channel ABS. It still gets the 110/70-17 front and 140/70-17 rear tyre setup. Features-wise, the fully-digital LCD instrument console has remained intact and gives out speedometer, odometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, twin trip meters and gear position Indicator readouts along with a clock. The knuckle-mounted LED indicators along with the bash plate and the tall windshield have also remained unchanged.
The 2023 Honda CB200X’s primary rival is the Hero Xpulse 200 4V, which is cheaper by Rs 2,223 and offers far better kit as an ADV. The changes in the updated CB200X are not that substantial and should’ve gotten better upgrades in terms of a long-travel suspension, 19-inch front wheel and Bluetooth connectivity to make it standout among its rivals, something we’ve been wishing for ever since its launch two years ago.
