Kawasaki’s 1000cc adventure tourer, the Kawasaki Versys 1000, has been removed from the manufacturer’s India website. Now, this does not necessarily mean that the Japanese manufacturer has shelved all future plans for the adventure tourer in India but rather that it is planning to launch the 2024 model here soon.
The Kawasaki Versys 1000 only got cosmetic changes for 2024 in terms of new colours and graphics. The adventure tourer still has the sharp and aggressive but also slightly polarizing design language it is known for. It is powered by a 1043cc, liquid-cooled, inline four engine producing 120PS at 9,000rpm and 102Nm at 7,500rpm. It gets a 43mm inverted fork and monoshock while braking duties are taken care of by dual 310mm petal disc brakes with radially mounted 4-piston calipers at the front and a single 250mm petal disc at the rear. Features-wise, it gets a semi-digital instrument console, cruise control, traction control, slip and assist clutch and an adjustable windscreen.
As mentioned above, the Kawasaki Versys 1000 will make its comeback to Kawasaki's India lineup with the launch of the 2024 model and we think it could happen by mid-2024.
