2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 Launching In India Soon

Husqvarna is set to launch the 2024 Svartpilen 250 shortly after launching the 2024 Vitpilen 250 and Svartpilen 401 in India. Type approval documents confirm the motorcycle's homologation in the country, hinting at the bike’s imminent launch.

The 2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 250, similar to its Vitpilen 250, will be based on the 2024 KTM 250 Duke’s 249cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 31PS and 25Nm. It has a similar design as the Vitpilen 250. It also features a similar big round headlight (without the positioning light ring), unique fuel tank with sharp flowing lines, and tank rack.

The Svartpilen 250 shares the 5-inch LCD instrument cluster with the Vitpilen 250. It will also get all-LED headlights, a bigger 13.5-litre fuel tank, and 100mm longer seat.

The Svartpilen 250 also borrows some bits from its bigger sibling, the Svartpilen 401, including the short fly screen, clip-on handlebars, mudguard, bash plate, mid-set footpegs and dual-purpose tyres (MRF Rev Z-D), differentiating it from its cafe racer sibling. 

It has the same underpinnings as the Vitpilen 250. The Svartpilen 250 is built on a steel-trellis frame and subframe like its siblings and features the same inverted WP-Apex forks and preload-adjustable WP Apex monoshock. Braking is managed by a 320mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes, with dual-channel ABS. It gets 110-section front and 150-section rear 17-inch alloy wheels.

The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 is expected to be priced at around Rs 2.19 lakh (ex-showroom), the same as the 2024 Vitpilen 250 as both bikes also had the same price previously. It will compete with the likes of the Bajaj Dominar 250, Suzuki Gixxer 250, Royal Enfield Scram 411, and KTM 250 Duke.
