It is expected to be launched later in 2024.
It borrows design cues from the more premium EV9.
It is expected to be offered in multiple seating layouts.
Likely to get a sole 2.2-litre diesel engine.
The Kia Carnival has been spotted in India undisguised ahead of its launch in 2024. It was earlier showcased as the KA4 MPV at Auto Expo 2023 and later, the new generation model got a facelift in international markets, which is what we’ll be getting here. Here’s what we can expect from the upcoming Carnival:
The new Carnival features a completely fresh look upfront, taking cues from the EV9, with the addition of a new wider grille, which is flanked by vertically stacked LED headlamps and L-shaped DRLs. The bumper on the large MPV looks chunkier than before, making it look more macho than before. It features a new set of alloys and the side profile, with its upright styling looks more SUV than MPV. At the rear, it gets connected LED tail lamps similar to that of the Seltos.
While the cabin of the Carnival was not captured in these shots, it should get the new cabin seen in the international model with dual integrated screens. We also expect it to get various seating layouts catered for individual preferences and requirements.

Just like other Kia cars in India, we expect Kia to not hold back on anything and provide the Carnival with a plethora of features. The features list is likely to include a panoramic sunroof, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and digital drivers display, three-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, ventilated seats, air purifier, and a rear seat entertainment system.
We expect it to come with minimum 6 airbags, a host of Level-2 ADAS features and a 360-degree camera as well.
While internationally, the Carnival gets petrol engine options, the premium MPV in India is expected to get the sole 2.2-litre diesel engine which produces 200 PS. The gearbox will likely be an 8-speed automatic transmission, sending power to the front wheels.
The Carnival MPV will be launched later this year in India, and is expected to be priced upwards of Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of the Toyota Innova Hycross and Maruti Suzuki Invicto, while being a larger alternative to the Toyota Innova Crysta.
