Nissan has launched the 2024 Geza Edition for the Magnite, with features inspired by the Japanese Geza theatre’s expressive musical themes, at Rs 9.84 lakh (ex-showroom).
Aimed at music enthusiasts, the Magnite Geza Special Edition offers enhanced infotainment features and a premium speaker system. It also marks the entry point for the Magnite’s turbo-petrol CVT powertrain, undercutting the XV variant by Rs 36,000.
The Magnite Geza Edition gets a large 9-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto (no Apple CarPlay, sadly) and premium JBL speakers for that added auditory experience. Additionally, it now also gets app-based multi-coloured ambient mood lighting in the footwell.
Apart from these, the Geza edition also introduces a reverse parking camera with guide lines integrated in the infotainment system. Furthermore, a PM2.5 air filter has also been included in the automatic air-conditioning unit.
No prominent changes have been made to the interiors, but customers can now opt for premium beige seat upholstery as an alternative. On the outside, the Magnite Geza Edition features “Geza” badging on the C-pillars and dual-tone wheel covers over the 16-inch steel rims.
The 1-litre turbo-petrol unit produces 100 PS and 152 Nm, mated to a CVT automatic transmission. Sadly, the Geza Edition doesn’t offer a manual option, which would have made it more attractive and accessible.
The Nissan Magnite Geza Edition rivals other subcompact SUVs like the Renault Kiger, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Exter and Tata Punch.
