With the new updates, does the Pulsar RS200 have what it takes to challenge the Hero Karizma XMR 210?

The 2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is more feature packed than before. The bike now comes with a new instrument console and a few other changes. But the question still remains, with the new updates does the Pulsar RS200 have what it takes to challenge the Hero Karizma XMR 210? We will answer this question via a detailed image comparison.

Design

When it comes to design, the main reason the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 really stands out is due to the dual-projector headlight setup. With the 2025 update, the headlights are now LED units. The bike overall has a very large profile which also looks quite bulky.

The Karizma XMR 210 on the other hand is a lot more slim and compact. The styling is a lot sharper, but compared to the Pulsar RS200 the headlight section feels a bit underwhelming. But overall, the Karimza XMR manages to offer a more serious supersport look and feel. Whereas the Pulsar RS200 comes off as more of a sports tourer.

Looks are quite subjective and in this case, there’s no clear winner. Both bikes manage to get some aspects right. Riders who are looking for something that is a bit more sportier will prefer the Karizma XMR, while others might like the RS200 more.

Performance

The Karizma XMR 210 has a larger 210cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine which outputs 25.5PS and 20.4Nm. Whereas the Pulsar RS 200 has 199.6cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine which outputs 24.5PS and 18.7Nm.

So in terms of outright performance, the Karimza XMR has a big advantage with the additional 1PS and 1.7Nm. This will result in faster acceleration and better initial pickup, which makes the ride all the more exciting. So if you’re someone who is looking for an exciting bike, you’ll be better off with the Hero Karizma XMR 210.

Underpinnings

Both the bikes offer a similar set of underpinnings, featuring a suspension setup that comprises a telescopic fork and monoshock. Braking duties are handled by a 300mm front and 230mm rear petal disc brakes on both motorcycles.

But the Karimza XMR 210 has a slight advantage over the Pulsar RS200 here. The bike is much lighter coming at 163.5 kg (kerb) which is lighter than the Pulsar RS200 by 3.5 kg.

Features

With the 2025 update, the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has now received a fully-digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity. The console offers a lot more features including turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts.

The Karizma XMR 210 also offers the same, as standard. So overall in terms of features, both the bikes are tied.

Verdict

Before we talk about which bike you should go for, it is important to note the prices of both. The Karizma XMR 210 comes at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1,81,400 (ex-showroom). Whereas the 2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 now costs Rs 1,84,115, which is a jump of Rs 10,000 over its previous price.

When comparing both bikes from a value for money point of view, the Karimza XMR 210 has better performance on offer and is also cheaper. So in a way it is the right choice, if you are looking to get a supersport in the 200cc segment.

But the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is still a really good bike if you are looking for something that is a lot less committed in terms of ergonomics. The bike also makes a really good sports tourer thanks to the relaxed ergonomics, which will make it easier to ride for longer distances.
