Quick News Highlights
BMW Motorrad has finally won the World Superbike (WSBK) Championship for the very first time with the 2024 M 1000 RR which was ridden by Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, a Turkish motorcycle racer. Weeks after this win, BMW has launched the all-new 2025 S 1000 RR and M 1000 RR with a more aggressive and aerodynamic design and even more features. The engines on both the bikes now comply with the Euro 5+ emission norms too.
Both the BMW S 1000 RR and M 1000 RR get a refreshed front design. The M 1000 RR now has bigger M Winglets 3.0 and the S 1000 RR also has bigger winglets for increased downforce and improved performance. Both bikes also get new fairings, providing a more aggressive and stylish design. Both bikes now have a front wheel cover with brake ducts, to keep the brake pads cool.
The S 1000 RR also gets new colour options: Blackstorm metallic, Bluestone metallic with matte graphics, and the M Motorsport variant in Lightwhite uni/M Motorsport with the M package. The M 1000 RR comes in a Lightwhite uni and the M 1000 RR M Competition has the Blackstorm metallic colour with M Sport liveries.
The new BMW S 1000 RR has been refined even more than before to deliver the ultimate performance on the track with M-short stroke throttle providing better throttle response. The S 1000 RR now gets Pro riding modes as standard with the ‘Race Pro’ mode. It also comes with a front wheel cover with brake ducts. The superbike also gets a dynamic brake control with 5 different ABS levels.
Both the bikes are powered by a Euro 5+ compliant 999cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The S 1000 RR continues to make the same 210PS whereas the M 1000 RR produces a whopping 221PS. Torque output remains the same on both at 113Nm.
The left side of the M 1000 RR’s frame also has a new engine mount. Just like the S1000RR, it also gets the M short-stroke throttle. The titanium exhaust has also been tweaked with modified cylinder head flanges, oval header inlets, and modified pre-silencer to enhance the performance. The M 1000 RR is also equipped with a Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) with new Slide Control function to handle those power slides. It has ABS Pro with Brake Slide Assist function that prevents the wheels from locking up.
The BMW S 1000 R and M 1000 R also get updated designs and a new dual-flow LED headlight with M logo air intake between both lights, inspired by the faired RR models. Both bikes get a Euro 5+ compliant 999cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine making 177PS (5PS more than before) and 114Nm, whereas the M 1000 RR makes 212PS and 113Nm.
It also has an engine drag torque control (MSR), an optimised gear shift assistant, and shorter gearing ratios. The bike also has new features like a USB-C charging port under the seat, an intelligent emergency call function, and a shorter licence plate holder, providing a cleaner look.
The BMW M 1000 R also gets the same changes as the M 1000 RR. It additionally gets black winglets, along with a black clutch and generator covers. The frame is red and the swingarm is finished in a Platinum Grey colour. It is available in two colours, Lightwhite uni/M Motorsport and White Aluminium metallic matt. The M Competition equipment variant gets the Blackstorm metallic/M Motorsport colour option.
