After giving a gala time to the paparazzis, Tata has finally brought an end to the spy campaign by officially revealing the facelifted Tata Nexon. It's a pretty thorough facelift with heavy changes inside out, so without any further ado, let’s take a deep dive into the 2023 Nexon using these 10 images:
Tata has given the Nexon a sharper facade with this facelift, and that is down to its Curvv-inspired styling. The sleek DRLs along the bonnet line and the split LED headlight unit below it give it a fresh look. The sleek closed off-grille along with the lower air dam wrap up the changes at the front.
The 2023 Nexon retains its silhouette, with the only visible change being the new alloy wheels, although the size of the rims is still the same i.e. 16 inches.

With this update, the Nexon has jumped on the connected taillight trend with a sleek LED bar which imitates a stretched-out X-shaped motif. The rear bumper has been tweaked with a quirky housing for the reversing lamp.
The facelifted Tata nexon comes in six colours options: Fearless Purple, Creative Ocean, Pure Grey, Flame Red, Daytona Grey, Pristine and White. Overall, the design changes of the 2023 Nexon have a significant impact on its outlook, which looks more modern and sharper.
Unlike the usual facelift trend which only brings new features to the cabin, the 2023 Nexon’s interior gets a complete rework and is now finished in a black/purple hue. For starters, it goes heavy on digital screens, with a floating 10.25-inch infotainment system taking centre stage along with an illuminated logo on the new two-spoke steering wheel. Inspiration from the Curvv is apparent here as well.
The control panel for the AC functions, now touch-sensitive, are housed below the touchscreen system. However, temperature and fan speed controls still get physical knobs (thankfully).
Feature-wise, the Nexon’s list has grown with bits like wireless phone charger, fully digital driver’s display, a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting and six airbags. The sub-4m SUV was already well loaded and continues to be, with equipment like ventilated front seats, wireless phone charger, a Harman sound system, a sunroof and connected car technology.
Its safety kit now includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and tyre pressure monitoring system.
The changes continue underneath the hood as well. It gets the same 120PS/170Nm 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine alongside the 110PS/260Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine. What’s new are the transmission options, especially for the latter which now gets four choices - 5-speed MT, 6-speedMT/AMT, and a 7-speed DCT (with paddle shifters). The diesel continues with the 6-speed manual or 6-speed AMT gearbox options.
Considering the depth of the changes on the 2023 Nexon, it feels more of a new-gen model than a mere mid-life facelift. And we reckon those changes are sure to bump up its prices, set to be announced on September 14, which currently hover between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 14.59 lakh (ex-showroom) for the outgoing model. With all its revised features, the 2023 Nexon will make a stronger case for itself against the likes of the Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Maruti Fronx, Mahindra XUV300 and the Renault Kiger.
