This streetfighter sibling of the RS 457 is coming to India next week!

Quick Highlights

  • The Aprilia Tuono 457’s design has been patented in India

  • The bike is going to be launched on February 17, 2025

  • Will go up against the KTM 390 Duke

Paiggio has filed a patent for the design of the upcoming Aprilia Tuono 457 in India before its launch of February 17, 2025. The bike is a streetfighter based on the Aprilia RS 457, with a different design and revised ergonomics.

The Aprilia Tuono 457 will be powered by the same 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine as the Aprilia RS 457. The engine produces 47.6PS and 43.5Nm. But when it comes to design and ergonomics, the bike is quite different both from the RS 457 and other Aprilia bikes in the Tuono lineup as well.

The Aprilia Tuono 660 and the Tuono V4 feature a unique half-fairing setup, which gives the bikes their unique identity. But the Tuono 457, has a different look with split LED headlight setup. This does make the bike stand out quite a bit. Though, many riders may not appreciate the break from the Tuono design language which they have come to love.

In terms of ergonomics, the Tuono 457 gets a wider handlebar instead of the clip-on handlebars like the RS 457. It’ll offer a relatively more upright and relaxed riding posture. This should make the bike more appealing to a larger set of riders. There were many who have been looking to get a RS 457, but decided not to because of the committed riding posture. Now those riders can get the same experience, in a streetfighter package.

The Tuono 457 will have the same underpinnings as the RS 457, with an inverted fork and monoshock suspension setup. The bike will roll on 17-inch alloys at both ends, with braking duties being taken care of by a 320mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. The bike will get a 5-inch TFT console, and electronic riding aids such as a traction control system and riding modes.

The Tuono 457 will go up against the KTM 390 Duke and the Yamaha MT-03 in the streetfighter segment. We expect the bike to be launched at around Rs 4 lakh (ex-showroom).
