Ather 450 Apex, 450X and 450S Prices To Increase From January 1, 2025

According to a report published online, the prices of the Ather 450S, 450X and 450 Apex from January 1, 2025. The report states that according to that publication’s dealer sources, the prices of the three models would increase by Rs 4,000 - Rs 6,000. 

The Ather 450 Apex is the most powerful scooter in the EV maker’s lineup with a top speed of 100kmph and a 0-40kmph acceleration time of 2.9 seconds. It has a claimed real-world range of 110km and the transparent rear panel exposing the orange-coloured subframe underneath it sets it apart from any other scooter in the current market. The scooter currently has a price tag of Rs 1,94,998 (ex-showroom Bengaluru).

The Ather 450X is available with two battery packs: 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh with claimed real world ranges of 90km and 110km respectively. The Ather 450S has a 2.9kWh capacity battery pack and a claimed real world range of 90km. The 450X has a 7-inch TFT touchscreen display, while the 450S has a 7-inch LCD display. The 450X’s prices range between Rs 1,40,599 and Rs 1,54,999, while the 450S costs Rs 1,25,599 (all prices ex-showroom Bengaluru including PM E-DRIVE subsidy). 

The Ather Rizta is the EV maker’s first family-oriented scooter and is priced between Rs 1,09,999 and Rs 1,46,499 (all prices ex-showroom Bengaluru including PM E-DRIVE subsidy) across three variants. The Rizta’s prices are also set to increase by Rs 4,000 - Rs 6,000 from January 1, 2025. Ather scooters have always been a bit pricey compared to the other electric scooters in the market. And at a time when every EV maker is pushing towards bringing more affordable electric scooters, it’ll be interesting to see how this upcoming price hike will affect Ather Energy’s sales in the coming months.
