Ather Energy To Enter The Sri Lankan Market Soon


The EV maker will open its first experience centre in the island country in the upcoming quarter

Ather Energy’s international expansion plan is on foot as it has announced that it will soon enter the Sri Lankan market, its second international market after Nepal. The EV maker will open its first experience centre in the island country by the end of 2024, in collaboration with Evolution Auto Private Limited, who will handle sales and service operations. 

Evolution Auto Private Limited is a joint venture between between Sensei Capital Partners, Atman Group, and Sino Lanka Private Limited The EV maker has also said it will also focus on establishing a fast-charging infrastructure network in Sri Lanka. Ather Energy entered its first international market in Nepal in November 2023 and as of March 31, 2024, the EV maker has set up three experience centres and seven fast-charging grids across the country. Ather Energy currently sells the Ather 450X and the Ather 450S in Nepal and we expected those models to be sold in Sri Lanka as well.

Ather Energy launched its first family-oriented scooter this year called the Ather Rizta. It has a boxy design with the largest seat in the segment and a massive 34-litre underseat storage space. Its prices start from Rs 1,09,999 {ex-showroom, Bangalore including EMPS (Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024) subsidy}. The deliveries of the Rizta started last month in select cities such as Ahmedabad, Pune, Delhi, Lucknow, Agra, Jaipur, Nagpur, & across Andhra Pradesh.
