The Bajaj Pulsar N160 is the brand’s sporty commuter offering in the highly competitive 160cc segment. The bike features an aggressive and sporty design and styling along with some really nice colours. It is offered in 3 variants and if you are someone who is looking to buy an N160 and are unsure which variant to go for, then this guide will be really helpful.
The Bajaj Pulsar N160 is now offered in a single seat variant. Priced at Rs 1,21,722 (ex-showroom, Pune), it is the most affordable of all variants.
This variant features a long single-piece seat and is pretty basic in terms of features. It only offers essential bits like single-channel ABS. It misses out on things like smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. But this is not a big deal breaker as this variant is meant for riders who are looking for a 160cc bike, at a relatively affordable rate.
The split seat variant of the Bajaj Pulsar N160 is now the mid-spec variant of the bike. It has a split seat setup, and a lot more features on offer. It has single-channel ABS and also gets smartphone connectivity and related bits such as call/SMS alerts.
This variant is priced at Rs 1,33,000 (ex-showroom, Pune). This makes it Rs 11,278 more expensive than the single seat variant. It also features a telescopic fork as the base single seat variant. This variant is for those riders who are looking for a simple 160cc bike, which also has a decent set of features on offer.
This is the top-of-the-line variant of the Bajaj Pulsar N160. It is priced at Rs 1,40,000 (ex-showroom, Pune). This split seat variant offers a lot of features, including dual-channel ABS and ABS modes. It also has smartphone connectivity and related bits like call/SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation.
This variant also offers better underpinnings, in the form of an inverted fork with golden finish. This has given the bike a premium look and feel overall. Out of the 3 variants, this one clearly has a lot more on offer and is for those riders who are looking for something that is a more premium offering in the 160cc segment
Other than these minor differences in features and underpinnings, the three variants are similar. All are powered by the same 164.2cc, air and oil-cooled, engine which produces 16PS and 14.65Nm.
With the launch of the new single-seat variant of the Pulsar N160, Bajaj has managed to undercut the price of the Bajaj Pulsar N150. We believe the brand might be planning on discontinuing the Bajaj Pulsar N150 soon, and the new more affordable Pulsar N160 variant could be its replacement.
