The exports have gone up marginally!

Bajaj Auto has released the sales data for the month of November 2024 and the results are surprising to say the least. They have experienced a 7 percent decline in the two-wheeler segment but have increased their exports by over 26 percent compared to November 2023. Let’s have a detailed look at the figures:

Two-wheeler sales

In November 2024, the sales figure of Bajaj Auto’s 2-wheelers sales stood at 2,03,611 units, which is a 7 percent decline compared to 2,18,597 units sold in November 2023. However, exports have increased by 26 percent, with having sold 1,64,465 units compared to 1,30,451 units last year. This growth in exports has helped balance the domestic decline in sales resulting in a total of 3,68,076 units sold, which results in an overall growth of 5 percent.

Commercial Vehicles

In the commercial vehicles segment, Bajaj Auto faced a decrease in sales. They sold 37,243 units in November 2024 which is a decrease of 5 percent compared to 39,147 units sold in November 2023. Exports however, have increased by 10 percent, with 16,321 units exported compared to 14,808 units in November 2023. Despite the growth in exports, the overall sales for commercial vehicles fell by 1% to 53,564 units from 53,955 units in November 2023.

Combined Sales

When combined, the total sales of 2-wheelers and commercial vehicles for Bajaj Auto in November 2024 reached 4,21,640 units which is a 5 percent increase over 4,03,003 units sold in November 2023. While domestic sales saw a 7 percent decline, from 2,57,744 units to 2,40,854 units, an increase in export by 24 percent, from 1,45,259 units to 1,80,786 units, helped a lot to increase the overall performance of the brand.

Verdict

Bajaj Auto has shown a strong growth in their exports even if their domestic sales have decreased which helped them balance out. This shows that the brand is increasing their presence globally. With the recent launch of the world’s first CNG powered motorcycle, Freedom 125, and the biggest Pulsar till date, the NS400Z, Bajaj has a lot in store and we expect a lot more to come from them in 2025.
