It's’ the second Bentley to get an ‘S’ trim right after the Continental GT/GTC S

Not even a week has passed since Bentley introduced the ‘S’ trim on the Continental GT/GTC, and now another model has received the same trim. This time, it's the Flying Spur that gets enhancements to show off a sportier vibe to the sedan.

Like was the case with the Continental GT/GTC S, the Flying Spur gets red brake callipers and splashes of black all over. This includes a blacked-out front grille, tinted lighting, bumper inserts, window sill mirrors, rear bumper inserts and exhaust tips. To identify it is an ‘S’ badge on the front fenders. There’s a variety of wheels ranging from Y-shaped 21-inchers to 22-inch three-spoke units.

Inside, the Flying Spur allows personalisation with a variety of  two-tone colour schemes to choose from. The seats are fluted with a quilted setup optional. It’s also got a motorsport chronometer instrumentation design theme like the Continental GT Speed.

Unlike the Continental GT/GTC S, the Flying Spur S has more engines to play with. One of them is the 550PS/700Nm 4-litre V8 motor, that comes with Bentley’s Dynamic Ride system, can sprint to 100kmph from a standstill in 4 seconds and top out at 319kmph. The other engine is a 2.9-litre V6 hybrid engine that makes a combined 544PS and 750Nm. It does the 0-100kmph sprint in 4.1 seconds and can run up to 41km on pure electric power.

Bentley will showcase the Flying Spur S as well as the Continental GT and GTC S at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed and will also take on the hillclimb challenge. In India, we could get the ‘S’ trim slapped on to all three cars by early 2023.
