BMW CE 04 Launch Date Revealed

BMW Motorrad is all set to launch the BMW CE 04 Electric Scooter in India on July 24, 2025. The e-scooter was first showcased in December during BMW Motorrad Days - India Chapter 2022. 

The CE 04 is a maxi-style electric scooter  from BMW Motorrad which comes with an unconventional design. It combines sharp styling elements and offers an overall package that looks quite futuristic. It's hard to deny that the scooter looks good and stands out when compared to other high performance electric scooters. There are two colour schemes on offer, Imperial Blue Metallic and Light White.

The CE 04 comes in 2 variants, with nominal power outputs of 15kW (20 hp) and 11kW (15 hp). The 15kW variant produces a peak power output of 31kW or 42PS at 4,900rpm and the 11kW variant produces a peak power output of 23kW or 31PS at 4000rpm. 

Both variants have a peak torque output of 62Nm at 1,500rpm. The e-scooter has a claimed top speed of 120kmph (electronically limited) and a claimed acceleration from 0-50kmph in 2.6 seconds. The battery pack on the CE 04 is an 8.9kWh battery pack which offers a claimed range of 130km.

BMW CE 04 Underpinnings

When it comes to underpinnings, the CE 04 is built on a steel double loop frame and is suspended on a telescopic fork and single shock absorber. Braking duties are handled by twin 265mm discs at the front and a single 265mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS.

Features wise, the CE 04 gets a 10.25 inch TFT display which provides readouts such as speed, range, tachometer readings and battery level readings. Additionally, there’s smartphone connectivity and built-in navigation.

The e-scooter also offers 3 riding modes and a reverse mode along with electronic rider aids such as traction control. There’s also a USB type C charging port on the scooter’s apron.

The BMW CE 04 is sold in the UK at a price tag of 12,850 GBP, which comes to around Rs 13,57,624. We can expect the scooter to cost over Rs 15 lakh ex-showroom, once it is launched on July 24, 2024.
