The facelifted BMW X3 is set to arrive this month, and it’s open for official pre-bookings now. BMW’s also offering complimentary 20-inch M-Sport alloy wheels worth Rs 2 lakh if you book the luxury SUV early. We expect the carmaker to price it from around Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom).
A subtle revision to the front fascia aside, the biggest change to the exterior is at the rear. The new taillamps have large LED elements, and the bumper gets dual exhaust tips and a faux diffuser. Overall, the design is cleaner, edgier, and more modern, yet recognisable.
Inside, the SUV’s dashboard seems straight out of a luxury Bimmer sedan. It gets a digital driver’s display, floating infotainment touchscreen, and revised centre console and gear lever. It’s feature-loaded as before, and a three-zone climate control system has been added to the package.
The 2022 BMW X3 will likely come with a standard mild-hybrid system paired with its 252PS 2-litre turbo-petrol and 190PS 2-litre diesel engines. Regardless of the engine you pick, it’ll power the wheels with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive system.

We expect the BMW X3 to be launched soon, probably at a premium over the current model. It’ll rekindle its rivalry with the Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5 and the Volvo XC60 when it goes on sale in India.
