  • Facelifted XL6 to launch on April 21.
  • To be offered in two broad trims: Zeta and Alpha.
  • Pre-launch bookings underway.
  • Will get Maruti’s revised 103PS 1.5-litre petrol engine, paired with a 6-speed torque converter.

The facelifted Maruti Suzuki XL6 is all set for launch in India on April 21. We already knew that the facelifted MPV will be offered in two trims (Zeta, Alpha) and six colour options. Now, we have got exclusive information about the top new features that will debut in the XL6 ahead of its launch.

The facelifted Maruti Suzuki XL6 will get the following additions:

  • Larger 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

  • Dual-tone body colours in the top-spec Alpha trim.

  • Smartplay Pro touchscreen infotainment system from the Baleno

  • Connected car tech (Telematics only).

  • Ventilated front seats (First for a Maruti Suzuki car).

  • Four airbags (Standard on both trims).

  • Electronic stability control.

  • 360-degree camera.

Most of these features aren’t really segment-first as they are present in rivals like the Kia Carens and recently launched facelifted Ertiga. Plus, we feel Maruti could have introduced new features like a sunroof and rear sun shades, which would have given the MPV a more premium appeal.

The facelifted XL6 will get Maruti’s revised 103PS 1.5-litre petrol engine with mild-hybrid and DualJet tech. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard, while the ancient 4-speed torque converter automatic will be replaced by a 6-speed torque converter with paddle shifters.

To know more about the facelifted XL6, read this report. Considering that the Ertiga got a massive price hike, we expect the same with the XL6, which currently starts from Rs 10.14 lakh (ex-showroom). It will renew its rivalry with the Kia Carens, Mahindra Marazzo, and the recently launched facelifted Ertiga.
