2025 Honda SP125 complies with the OBD2B regulations
Price increased by about Rs 4,300
Gets new features that brings it at par with its rivals
2025 Honda SP125 has been launched in India, with prices starting from Rs 91,771 (ex-showroom, Delhi). One of the major updates in the premium commuter bike is the compliance with soon-enforced OBD2B regulations (we shall get to what that is later in the story). Other updates include a new TFT digital display with navigation, and an all-LED headlight. There are only some tweaks to the graphics, but the motorcycle still has the same silhouette as before.
The new Honda SP125 still gets two variants: Drum, and Disc, and the same engine. It has a 124cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that makes 10.87PS and 10.9Nm; it gets a 5-speed gearbox. The SP125 also gets idle stop-start tech to help boost mileage. For 2025, the SP125 complies with the OBD2B regulations which will come into effect from April 1, 2025. To put it simply, OBD2B is all tightly monitoring the emissions from the exhaust and alerting the rider of any irregularities. This will be compulsory for all new two-wheelers manufactured after the aforementioned date. This update follows the recently updated Honda Activa 125, which is the first Indian 2-wheeler to be OBD2B-compliant.
In terms of features, the SP125 now gets a 4.2-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation using the dedicated smartphone app, voice assist, and USB C charging port. There’s also an LED headlight and tail-light.
Apart from that, it continues to get features like the silent starter, side-stand engine cut-off, combined braking system, and more

The new Honda SP125 is available in 5 paint schemes: Pearl Igneous Black, Matt Axis Grey Metallic, Pearl Siren Blue, Imperial Red Metallic, and Matt Marvel Blue Metallic.
The new SP125 retains the same underpinnings as before. It has 18-inch alloy wheels on both ends, 130mm drum brakes on both wheels (Drum variant), a 240mm front disc brake on the Disc variant, and a telescopic front suspension and twin rear shocks. It has an 11.2-litre fuel tank, a decent ground clearance of 160mm, an easily manageable 116kg kerb weight, and a rather accessible 790mm seat height.
The Honda SP125 offers a more premium and a sporty-looking alternative in the 125cc bike segment. Honda engines are known to be quite refined and robust. It rivals the likes of the TVS Raider 125 and the Hero Xtreme 125R. With the new updates, the SP125 offers comparable features-set to its rivals, however the pricing has gone up considerably. That said, Honda India is one of the first manufacturers to comply with the upcoming regulations, and the rivals should also become more expensive as they are updated.
