- The 2025 Honda Unicorn has been launched
- It has received new features
- The bike is available in three colour options
Honda has just updated the Unicorn for the 2025 model year. It is priced at Rs 1,19,481 (ex-showroom Delhi). It is available in three colour options: Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Axis Gray Metallic, and Radiant Red Metallic.
The major updates to the bike are in the features department. The 2025 Honda Unicorn has a new LED headlight and an LCD instrument console. It shows speedometer, odometer, tachometer, trip meter, clock, fuel gauge and gear position indicator readouts. The updated model also gets a USB Type-C charging port for added convenience. The bike has retained its simple yet muscular design language.
The only mechanical change is that the 162.71cc, single-cylinder engine is now OBD2B compliant. It produces 13.18PS at 7,500rpm and 14.58Nm at 5,250rpm and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The rest of the bike has remained unchanged. It has a telescopic fork and a monoshock while braking duties are taken care of by a 240mm front disc brake and a 130mm rear drum brake. It has a wheelbase of 1,335mm, ground clearance of 187mm, kerb weight of 139kg, seat height of 798mm and a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres.
The Unicorn rolls on 80-section front and 100-section rear tyres with 18-inch wheels at both ends. Its rivals are the Bajaj Pulsar 150 and the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V. The Unicorn has been quite a popular model for Honda in India for 20 years now because of its overall robustness and refined engine. It offers great value for your money as a 160cc commuter. And with this current update (with a price hike of about Rs 8,000), the bike has gotten some useful features that are pretty much the usual norm these days and has made it more relevant for the current market.
