Hero MotoCorp has launched the Hero Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 with a few new features compared to the Splendor Plus Xtec.
The Hero Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 has been launched at Rs 82,911 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it Rs 3,000 more expensive than its predecessor. It is available in three colour options: Matte Grey, Gloss Black and Gloss Red. Its rivals are the Hero Passion Plus, Honda Shine 100 and the TVS Radeon.
Well, not much. The headlight design along with the headlight cowl is similar to the Splendor Plus Xtec but it now comes with an LED unit with H-shaped DRLs inside. This makes it the only 100cc bike to have an LED headlight in India. Also, the colour schemes and the graphics are new and the commuter bike now comes equipped with hazard lights with a dedicated switch for turning them on/off. The rest of the bike has remained unchanged. Here are the details:

- 4-speed gearbox
- Claimed mileage: 73kmpl
- Fuel tank capacity: 9.8 litres
- Telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers suspension (with 5-step preload adjustability) setup
- 130mm drum brakes at both ends with CBS (Combined Braking System)
- 80-section tubeless tyres with 18-inch wheels at both ends
- Ground clearance: 165mm

- Real-time mileage indicator, side-stand indicator, speedometer, odometer, trip meter and low fuel indicator readouts
Hero MotoCorp has launched the Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 to celebrate the Splendor’s 30th anniversary. The manufacturer hasn’t made any mechanical and major design changes to Splendor Plus Xtec with the 2.0 version because the Hero Splendor, including all the variants, is the highest-selling bike in India, and its target customers love its timeless design. It’s basically a case of “If it ain't broke, don't fix it.”
