The Kia Carens is a three-row MPV and will be offered in 6- and 7-seater options.
It will come in five broad trims: Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus.
Feature highlights are a one-touch electric tumble for the second row, 64-colour ambient lighting and ventilated front seats.
Will get three engine options: 1.5-litre petrol, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel.
Expected to be priced from Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.
Kia has confirmed the Carens’ India launch on February 15. The three-row MPV will be offered in five trim options: Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus, across six- and seven-seating configurations. Interested customers can also pre-book their Carens via Kia’s website or authorised dealerships for a token amount of Rs 25,000.
The Carens will be Kia’s fourth offering in the country after the Seltos, Carnival, and Sonet. It debuts the new ‘Opposites United’ design language in India with design highlights like a sleeker ‘Tiger Nose’ grille with snazzy LED DRLs and split headlights. The rear is pretty clean with connected LED taillamps, with a chunky chrome bar on the bumper. The MPV rides on 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and gets body cladding all-around for a beefed-up look.
Customers will get a choice of eight colour options: Imperial Blue, Moss Brown, Sparkling Silver, Intense Red, Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Grey, Glacier White Pearl, and Clear White. Unfortunately, it misses out on dual-tone body shades.
