Kinetic Green has launched its newest electric scooter, the Zulu, in India at an introductory price of Rs 94,990 (ex-showroom Mumbai). There’s also the option to buy the scooter with a ‘Battery as a subscription’ plan, which will allow customers to cut the cost of buying the scooter by up to 35 percent.
The Zulu comes with a modern design featuring an apron-mounted headlight that looks similar to what we have seen on the Honda Dio with its LED DRLs mounted on the handle. The scooter also comes with a front storage space with bag hooks, a single-piece seat, and a large pillion grab rail.
It is powered by an oil-cooled motor mated to a 2.27kWh Li-ion battery. Kinetic Green says the battery provides a claimed range of 104km when riding at 60kmph. Customers can fast-charge the battery from 0-80 percent in just half an hour using a 15A socket. Even with this, the battery will be able to promise 120,000km of life, says the manufacturer.
The Zulu comes with an inverted fork and twin rear shocks, with disc brakes front and rear. Features on offer include a digital instrument cluster, USB charging port and boot light. Other features include an auto power cut charger. It also gets LED DRLs, though the headlights and indicators are halogen units.
The scooter is offered in six colours: Pixel White, Insta Orange, UTube Red, Black X, FB Blue, and Cloud Grey.
