The TVS Jupiter has just received a generational update as TVS Motor Company has launched the new generation Jupiter with wholesome changes compared to the outgoing model. Here are the details:
The new generation TVS Jupiter’s prices start from Rs 73,700 (ex-showroom Delhi), making it only Rs 50 more expensive than the outgoing model’s base variant. It is available in four variants: Drum, Drum Alloy, Drum SmartXonnectand Disc SmartXonnect. The scooter gets six colour options: Starlight Blue Gloss, Lunar White Gloss, Meteor Red Gloss, Dawn Blue Matte, Titanium Grey Matte and Galactic Copper Matte. The TVS Jupiter rivals the likes of the Honda Activa and the Hero Pleasure.

Well, everything, because this is a new generation model. The Jupiter now gets sharper design lines and the LED DRL’s design stretching from one end of the front apron to the other is quite unique. The redesigned headlight and tail section makes the scooter look quite stylish.

- All LED lighting with integrated turn indicators
- Coloured LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity for navigation, call and SMS alerts, and voice assist through the TVS Connect app
- LCD console shows speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, distance to empty, average fuel economy, clock and other readouts
- Hazard light switch integrated with the switch for turn indicators
- Follow Me headlight and emergency brake warning
- Front fuel filler cap along with a bag hook, USB charging port and a 2 litre glove box on the front apron
- Underseat storage space: 33 litres
The TVS Jupiter comes equipped with Intelligent Start Stop (ISS) technology which switches off the engine when it idles for more than a set duration of time and can be restarted by a twist of the throttle. The scooter also gets what TVS calls “iGo Assist Technology”, which consists of three components: integrated starter generator (ISG), ISG controller and the battery. It provides an extra torque boost when the feature is switched on.
The TVS Jupiter has been one of the best-selling models in the manufacturer’s lineup ever since its entry into the Indian two-wheeler market. A generation change has been due for some time now and with this model, TVS has managed to keep the Jupiter 110 fresh and relevant according to the current market conditions. The sharp styling along with the new engine and the extensive features list has certainly made the scooter even more appealing than before.
