New Tata Nexon will get facelifted front and rear ends, no change in platform.
Interior spied with a larger touchscreen with a different layout.
Likely to get more powerful 1.2-litre turbo petrol under the bonnet alongside diesel and CNG options.
Similar design changes to be seen in the new Nexon EV as well.
Launch expected in 2024, prices to start higher than the existing SUV’s 7.79 lakh (ex-showroom) price.
The 2024 Tata Nexon has been spied testing on public roads, revealing key design changes in the upcoming SUV. The new Nexon has the same silhouette as the current model, but will get thoroughly revised front and rear-end styling alongside new interior, features, equipment and powertrains.
We expect the updated SUV to enter the market sometime in 2024, rivalling other subcompact SUVs including the Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300 and Maruti Brezza.
On the outside, the new Nexon will get thoroughly redesigned front and rear-end styling, with connected LED DRLs and headlights placed on the bumper. We’ve seen these design cues recently on the Curvv and Harrier EV concepts unveiled at Auto Expo 2023. The overall silhouette will remain familiar since there is no change to the SUV’s platform.
Although the inside isn’t so clearly visible in the spy shots, we do get a clue about the SUV’s larger touchscreen that juts out of the dashboard, different from the current Nexon which gets a centre-mounted, seven-inch unit. The 2024 SUV should also get a redesigned cabin and new features such as a fully digital driver’s display and six airbags. Niceties such as a sunroof and ventilated seats should be carried from the existing Nexon.
The upcoming Nexon facelift should get Tata’s more powerful 125PS, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit that we saw in the ICE-powered Curvv coupe-SUV at Auto Expo 2023. This engine will be compliant with the upcoming phase two of BS6 emission norms as well as ethanol-blended E20 fuel.

Apart from the petrol powertrain, the diesel engine should continue, and we could also see a CNG version of the Nexon introduced with the facelifted SUV.

We can’t wait to see the new Nexon break cover in 2024. Later on, we should also see similar design changes in the Nexon EV.
