[UPDATE: Ather has launched the updated 450X in India. Full details in our launch story]
Just a day before it’s slated to be officially launched, images of the Ather 450X’s new colours have now leaked online. The electric scooter will now be available in four new colours- Cosmic Black, Lunar Grey, Salt Green and Ravishing Red.
The Lunar Grey’s red alloys are loud and funky while not being too obnoxious. The Ravishing Red, on the other hand, is a lot more in line with the Ather 450X’s sleek and sporty design.
If you like your Ather stealthy, it doesn’t get any better than the blacked-out Cosmic Black. Rims, bodywork, grabrail, everything has been given the black treatment and the slight dash of funky Mint Green on the frame under the seat is a cherry on the cake. Amongst these new colours, one can’t help but feel that the Salt Green looks a tad bit dull.
Other changes on the scooter include a revised seat. The rider has been lengthened and widened, offering better contour along with a slimmer front profile. The pillion seat, meanwhile, has just been lengthened.
For perspective, the scooter’s current seat height is a fairly accessible 780mm. Expect the motor to be slightly tweaked for more power as revealed by leaked homologation documents. With the new scooter set to be officially launched tomorrow, we can’t wait to see what more Ather has in store for us.
