BREAKING: TVS Apache RTR 160 Racing Edition Launched At Rs 1,28,720

TVS Motor Company has launched the TVS Apache RTR 160 Racing Edition at Rs 1,28,720 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes it the top-end variant of the bike and gets a new Matte Black colour option. Bookings are now open for this variant.

The new colour option gets a matte black paint job with red and grey graphics on the fuel tank, front fender and tail section. The alloy wheels are painted in a striking red colour, which pops up the whole look of the bike. The rest of the bike has remained unchanged. The TVS Apache RTR 160 is powered by a 159.7cc, single-cylinder, air cooled engine producing 16.04PS at 8750rpm in the Sport mode and 13.32PS at 8000rpm in the Urban and Rain modes. Torque output in the Sport mode is 13.85Nm at 7000rpm and 12.7Nm at 6500rpm in the Urban and Rain modes. 

The suspension setup consists of a telescopic fork and gas-charged twin shock absorbers while braking duties are taken care of by a 270mm front petal disc and a 220mm rear petal disc brake with single-channel ABS. Seat height stands at 790mm, ground clearance is 180mm while the fuel tank capacity is 12 litres. In terms of features, the bike gets an LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity for voice assist, turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts and race telemetry through the TVS SmartXonnect technology. Its rivals are the Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Yamaha FZS-FI V3.
