Images of the 2023 iteration of the Hero Super Splendor Xtec have surfaced online right before the bike’s official launch.
The most noticeable updates on the updated Super Splendor are the new LED headlamp and an LED DRL.
Replacing the rather dated-looking three-pod instrument console is a new fully digital LCD unit that’s likely the same as the Hero Splendor Xtec. It’ll be Bluetooth-compatible and will mostly show bits like SMS & call alerts, real-time mileage, side-stand engine cut-off, bank angle sensor and more.
Another update has to do with its 125cc engine. With the OBD-2 norms all set to kick in from the next month, the updated bike will be OBD 2 compliant as well. The Super Splendor’s 10.87PS and 10.6Nm output figures are hence unlikely to change.
With the updated lighting, the headlamp cowl and visor have also been updated. The new bike also gets Xtec branding and graphics on its fuel tank. The bike seen in the video dons an elegant-looking grey colour scheme, so expect the bike to get a couple of new colours too.
Other bits are likely to be unchanged. In the video, it was revealed that the updated Super Splendor costs Rs 1,04,900 on road, so we expect to see a Rs 3,000-4,000 hike for all the variants. For perspective, the bike’s current prices start from Rs 79,118 (ex-showroom Delhi). These updates should make the bigger Splendor a more wholesome product, better equipped to take the fight to its rivals like the Honda Shine and Bajaj CT 125X.
