Hyundai India brought two new models this year as we witnessed the launch of the facelifted 2023 Verna and Hyundai’s entry into the micro-SUV segment with the introduction of the Exter. But 2024 promises to be an action-packed year as the Korean carmaker is expected to launch facelifted versions of three of its SUVs next year along with the introduction of a couple of EVs. Here are the upcoming launches from Hyundai in 2024.
The 2024 Creta facelift will kick things off for Hyundai next year, with a midlife refresh, and an updated design inside and out. The compact SUV is also expected to get features like a 360-degree camera and ADAS and will likely be offered with the new 160 PS 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine from the 2023 Kia Seltos.

The Hyundai Alcazar is also slated for a refresh in 2024. You can expect cosmetic enhancements for both the exterior and interior, similar to the upcoming Creta facelift, maintaining a familiar features set with the addition of ADAS. The facelifted Alcazar is expected to carry its similar powertrain options.

While the fourth-gen Hyundai Tucson was launched on our shores in 2022, its global-spec version received a midlife refresh earlier this year. The updated Tucson showcases minor styling revisions on the exterior and boasts an enhanced interior, featuring an upgraded connected screen setup. Expect the 2024 Tucson to retain the current model's petrol and diesel engine options upon its India arrival.

Expected Launch: Second half of 2024
In the first quarter of 2023, Hyundai unveiled the second-generation Kona Electric. The updated Kona is significantly larger than the current model sold in India. It also features a 48.4 kWh battery pack, providing a WLTP-claimed range of 377 km. The model is expected to arrive on our shores with a similar powertrain choice.

The Ioniq 6 may soon make its debut in India, offering a sedan alternative to the Hyundai Ioniq 5. It comes equipped with a 72.6 kWh battery pack borrowed from the Ioniq 5, driving its rear wheels. If launched, the Ioniq 6 will rival the likes of the BMW i4 in India.
